The gap

A CV lists the work. It rarely makes the work speak.

Your strongest signals are scattered across repositories, projects, posts, videos, study and side quests. CapabilityStory brings them into one evidence layer and adds the context a busy reviewer needs.

01 / FRAGMENTED

Your proof is everywhere.

Code in GitHub. Case studies in Notion. Demos on YouTube. The story connecting them lives only in your head.

02 / COMPRESSED

Your profile is too small.

Job titles and keywords cannot show how you think, what you owned, or why a project mattered.

03 / TRANSLATED

Reviewers do the hard work.

They open tabs, decode artifacts and guess at the signal. Make the next step obvious while keeping the proof inspectable.

One person. Many strengths.

Show the full shape of what you bring.

Choose the lens that fits the opportunity. The evidence stays yours; the emphasis changes.

Role lens

A product-minded engineer who ships.

Lead with systems, end-to-end ownership and the proof that a side project became something people could use.

From scattered work to portable proof in one sitting.

Connect what already exists. Add context where it matters. Keep the final say on what gets published.

Drop in your work

Upload CVs, project reports, decks, spreadsheets, notes or PDFs—or start with GitHub, a site or a URL. No blank profile form.

Review your evidence

CapabilityStory groups work, personal projects and learning, compares CV versions and asks the few questions only you can answer.

Publish your best view

Share a professional profile that is quick to scan, rich enough to trust and tailored to the opportunity in front of you.

Proof, not polish

Every claim should have somewhere to go.

Open the proof behind the profile: the project, release, case study, talk or artifact that made the capability visible. When context is missing, CapabilityStory says so.

Your work. Your say.

Your work is yours. You decide what is true and what is public.

CapabilityStory helps structure an evidence-backed professional identity around consent, source links, visible uncertainty and portable ownership. It does not infer personality, protected traits or “culture fit” from your face, voice or social graph.

Proof cards and Proofs

Count published evidence blocks. Free includes 3 cards; paid plans add shareable Proof collections, with each card reusable in up to 10 Proofs.

Document files

Count each uploaded CV, deck, spreadsheet, note or PDF. Exact file-size and batch limits appear before upload.

Connected sources

Count active authorizations such as Google Drive, OneDrive, GitHub, Notion or Dropbox. Manual entries do not consume a connected-source slot.

Languages

Choose your application language during onboarding. Free can select one supported profile/proof-card display language; paid plans can use any supported language and multiple approved views.

Questions worth asking

Clear answers before you connect anything.

Who is CapabilityStory for?

CapabilityStory is for professionals whose capability is broader than a CV or scattered across different kinds of work—including builders, creators, students, researchers, operators, consultants, freelancers and career switchers. It complements LinkedIn, CVs and recruitment platforms with an evidence layer that turns experience into portable, context-rich proof of capability and contribution.

It is not a job board, recruiter, CV replacement, candidate-ranking engine or automated hiring-decision system; it enriches existing professional profiles with structured evidence, context, provenance, outcomes and consented endorsements so reviewers can understand capability beyond titles and keywords.

Is this a replacement for LinkedIn?

No. LinkedIn is where people discover and network. CapabilityStory is the evidence layer you can link from LinkedIn, applications, proposals and social profiles.

Do I have to fill in a long form?

No. Start with one source—GitHub, a personal site or an uploaded file. The system drafts a profile and asks for the small amount of context only you can provide.

What is a proof card?

A proof card is a compact, source-linked evidence block: what you did, the context, the outcome, the capabilities it demonstrates and what is still uncertain. Three Free proof cards means three published blocks—not three uploaded documents.

What is a Proof?

A Proof is a shareable collection of existing proof cards organized around one audience, capability or opportunity. Paid plans can create Proofs; Free users can still share individual cards and view a Proof sent to them. A card keeps its own evidence, visibility and trust status, and can appear in up to ten Proofs.

What are proof rooms and what are they for?

Proof rooms are private, invite-only spaces for deeper or sensitive evidence such as client case studies, detailed deliverables or work that should not sit on your public profile. A room can be shared with a specific reviewer, set to expire and revoked later; it is not indexed as a public page.

What is a connected source and what is it used for?

A connected source is an authorized integration such as Google Drive, OneDrive, GitHub, Notion or Dropbox that lets CapabilityStory read selected information, refresh evidence and link claims back to the source. It is not an uploaded document. You can pause, disconnect or revoke it, and manual entries do not use a connected-source slot.

Can CapabilityStory see everything in my connected account?

No. We request the smallest supported read-only permission and ask you to select the files, pages, folders or repositories to use. CapabilityStory records that selection and enforces a server-side resource allowlist on every read. Some providers technically issue a broader delegated token than an individual-file selection, so the connection receipt shows the granted scope as well as the selected resources; anything outside the allowlist is denied.

How do I know which connected files were processed?

Settings → Connected sources → Processed files shows each sanitized filename, SHA-256 checksum, processed date/time, source and status. It also explains whether a file was processed, skipped because it was unchanged or already processed, blocked as unsafe, failed or needs reprocessing. The register is a proof of record; original files are discarded after processing by default.

Does Plus include Free?

Yes. Plus includes the Free profile, sharing and evidence-review baseline, then adds 25 document files per month, higher proof-card volume, more sources, AI refresh, role lenses and richer export. Professional builds on Plus.

Which languages are supported?

From Day 0, the application UI supports English, Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Tamil, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Khmer, Lao and Burmese, with English fallback for any missing message. Free can select one supported display language for the profile and proof cards. Paid plans can use any supported display language and keep multiple approved views. The original facts and source links remain intact.

How does my language preference work?

Choose your preferred application language during onboarding; you can change it later in Profile settings. A Thai user can use a Thai or English Builder UI independently from the language used for the public profile. Your saved preference takes priority over the browser language.

How are uploaded documents handled by plan?

Free processing creates English working fields so your profile can be built quickly, while recording the source language in the processing audit. Paid processing preserves confirmed evidence in its source language and creates other languages only as derived, reviewable views. In both plans, original files are discarded after successful processing by default.

Are translated profile and proof cards published automatically?

No. CapabilityStory drafts a localized version, checks terminology, dates, numbers and links, and lets you edit and approve it before publication. If a language-quality check fails, the English version remains available.

What counts toward plan usage?

Each uploaded document counts as one file, including a CV, DOCX, deck, spreadsheet, note or PDF. A re-upload after processing counts again. Published proof cards count toward the Free card limit; connected-source usage counts active authorizations. Exact size, batch and fair-use limits are shown before an action starts.

What happens when I reach a limit?

Your existing profile, confirmed evidence and exports remain available. New document processing, AI refreshes or premium presentation features pause until the allowance resets or you upgrade. We do not silently delete your work.

Can I change my plan?

Yes. You can move from Free to Plus or Professional, and from Plus to Professional, at any time. An upgrade takes effect immediately; Stripe calculates the new-plan charge for the remaining term less the unused portion of the current plan and shows the amount before confirmation. You can also move from paid to Free or from Professional to Plus. Downgrades are not refunded: your current plan remains active until the end of the paid subscription term, and the new plan starts after the previous plan expires.

How does annual billing work?

Annual plans are charged upfront at 20% below twelve 30-day cycles and renew on the annual anniversary. The displayed monthly equivalent is for comparison; the annual total is shown before checkout.

How are subscription renewals charged?

We email you three days before the subscription expiry/renewal date. On the renewal date, Stripe attempts to collect the applicable plan price using the saved payment method on Stripe. CapabilityStory does not store your card number. If the payment fails, we notify you and apply the stated grace and recovery process while keeping your published profile available.

What happens to uploaded documents?

We use originals for scanning and extraction, then discard them by default after successful processing. We retain the processing audit and the timeline/evidence you confirm. A short recovery hold or legal/security hold is explicit, time-bound and audited.

Can AI publish claims about me automatically?

No. Generated claims should be reviewable, editable and linked to a source or marked as user-provided. You decide what becomes public.

Will you score my “culture fit”?

No. The product can present working-context preferences that you choose to state, but it should not infer personality, protected traits or a global employability score.

What if my best work is private?

Use a public summary with private, invite-only proof rooms for sensitive case studies, client details or deeper artifacts. Access can expire or be revoked.
